Abstract | This self-evaluation report presents information gathered by Gateway Technical Institute in partial fulfillment of reaffirmation for accreditation as a single, multi-campus institution. Included in the report are ten chapters dealing with: (1) the college's philosophy and objectives; (2) the geographic, demographic, and economic characteristics of its service district; (3) the school's administrative organization; (4) faculty and staff, including conditions of employment, evaluation of instruction, workload, and salaries; (5) vocational and community education programs; (6) the student services provided at the college; (7) instructional resources, including learning centers and instructional television facilities; (8) research and planning activities; (9) financial resources; and (10) facilities maintenance, use, and planning. Each chapter provides a discussion of current strengths, concerns, and suggested solutions. The report concludes with certification statements of accreditation. Data tables and eight appendices are included. (JP) |
