Abstract	Information on degrees, diplomas, and certificates awarded by Canadian universities during the calendar year 1975 is presented in this report. Table 1 provides historical data on bachelor, masters, and doctoral degrees awarded over the last 12 years. Table 2 presents summary data by institution on the various levels of degrees, diplomas, and certificates granted as well as the sex of the recipients. Information on bachelor degrees, masters, and doctoral degrees is presented in Tables 3, 4, and 5 respectively. Table 6 presents information on undergraduate and graduate diplomas and certificates with a breakdown by discipline and selected specialties. Separate figures for provinces and sex of recipients are included in each table. The survey results indicate that there were 88,604 undergraduate degrees, diplomas, or certificates awarded in 1975, which represents a 6.2 percent increase over 1974. An increase of 6.5 percent is noted in the awarding of graduate degrees. The details and significance of these trends are discussed. (SF)
