Abstract | This curriculum strategy for career education in the arts is designed to be used as a supplement to a secondary education arts training program. The curriculum is divided into four goal areas: (1) developing self knowledge, (2) developing knowledge about work in the arts, (3) relating knowledge of self to knowledge of work in the arts, and (4) developing parental knowledge about careers in the arts. For each goal area there are goal indicators/strategies, objectives, procedures for planning, suggested resources, and suggested evaluation methods. It is suggested that training programs offer possibilities for interdisciplinary work as well as study with a single art form. (LRA) |
