Abstract | This paper analyzes the macro relationships among education, income, and related socio-economic variables pertaining to young Filipino Americans. Probable reasons underlying the relatively low school enrollment of this ethnic group are examined. In addition, multiple regression models are utilized to explain differences in schooling enrollment patterns among the Filipino, Chinese, and Japanese communities in the United States. The same problem is also examined from a microperspective. Multiple regression models are again used to examine attitudinal variables, demographic variables, and factors motivating education. Appendices include supporting tables for both the macro and micro profiles and a sample questionnaire: "A Survey of Educational Attitudes and Work/Income Opportunities Perceptions of Young Filipino Americans, Fall 1977."
