Abstract | To improve preparation of personnel in career education, a project conducted by Oregon's Interinstitutional Consortium for Career Education (ICCE) focused on three areas: staff development for college and university faculties; program development for teacher, counselor, and administrator preparation; and teacher certification and training program accreditation. (ICCE is composed of all Oregon institutions of higher education which prepare teachers, counselors, and administrators.) This report summarizes the activities of the Consortium during the third year of a five-year effort. (See CE 019 417 for a performance report of the project's second year of operation.) Included in this document are descriptions of the project's major activities and of related TSPC (Teacher Standards and Practices Commission) activities; an evaluation summary (see CE 019 261 for the full evaluation report); a discussion of anticipated changes and problems; and reports of dissemination activities and special activities. The following materials are appended: list of consortium committee members; institutional guidelines; guidelines for preparatory program accreditation in career education; an informational newsletter and brochure; and abstracts of related project reports.
