| Abstract | This publication contains conservation suggestions for schools in California to save water and energy. Contents include: (1) a list of sources of additional energy education assistance and materials; (2) a discussion of energy conservation in schools including HVAC system operations, lighting and building design; (3) a summary outline of actions to improve school energy efficiency; (4) a list of factors to consider in designing new schools; and (5) an outline of suggestions to conserve energy in the school transportation operations. Suggested steps to conserve water in California schools are also presented. (MR) |
