Abstract | This document contains two issues of a monthly newsletter which examines cultural, political, educational, and religious activities of American Jews. The objective of the newsletters is to provide a network of national information to Jews and other interested persons about resources, individuals, associations, activities, events, and concerns relevant to American Jewish life. Topics discussed in the October 1978 issue include announcement of a book listing American companies who do business with Arab nations, a field trip to Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, problems of Russian immigrants, academic programs for American Jewish students in Israel, B'nai Brith philanthropic activities, the relationship between science and Judaism, and human relations materials produced by the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai Brith for schools, churches, and community organizations. The November 1978 issue discusses holocaust resource materials, Jewish art, publication activities of the Jewish Women's Resource Center in New York, book announcements, and descriptions of films for religious education. Each issue concludes with a directory of organizations involved in American Jewish religious activities and/or education. (DB) |
