Abstract | Intended as a guide in choosing books for use in bibliotherapy, this annotated bibliography lists selections that stress the development of self-image. An account of the author's personal experience with the materials introduces each section. The bibliography is divided according to the following headings: overcoming physical disabilities, courage, friendship, family living, and growing up. Both fiction and nonfiction are included and the books are arranged by level (lower grades, middle grades, and upper grades). (MAI) |
