Abstract	Tables in this document present: (1) the 1977-78 racial/ethnic distribution of public school students for New York State's "Big Five" (Buffalo, New York, Rochester, Syracuse and Yonkers) school districts, and for the rest of the State; (2) the 1977-78 distribution of black and Hispanic students by location in the State; (3) the percent distribution of public school students by racial/ethnic origin for the years 1973-74 through 1977-78; (4) the number of schools and the number and percent of minority students (in general), and black and Hispanic students (individually) in schools of differing racial composition; and (6) the distribution of public school professional staff by racial/ethnic origin. Also presented are the distribution by racial/ethnic origin of public school students and professional staff for each school district in the State. (Author/GC)
