| Abstract | The National Rural Career Guidance Project for Rural and Small Schools was designed to promote active exchange of information among rural schools and to provide services to administrators, counselors, and teachers wishing to implement or upgrade career guidance activities in their schools. The directory was developed for the purpose of providing school personnel with names, addresses and other pertinent information related to career guidance consultants within their geographic area. The 25 consultants were gleaned from 421 nominees received by soliciting state directors of vocational education, career education, or guidance, as well as counselor educators and intermediate educational agencies. Those making recommendations were asked to pay particular attention to four aspects of their nominees: experience in career guidance, experience in rural schools, resources available to the nominees, and time available to devote to work with rural school groups. The directory has been organized by state in alphabetical order. The name, address, position, telephone number, and areas of expertise are given for each consultant. (BR) |
