| Abstract | In this collection of brief articles, the sources of inequality in Israeli education are examined. The economic and social background of students are discussed. The Minkovich Report, "An Evaluation Study of Israeli Elementary Schools," is reviewed. Arab education in Israel is examined. Integration in Israeli schools is discussed. Financial inequality in education is examined. Interviews with Israelis working in the field of education are reported. Statistics are provided to illustrate specific points of view. It is concluded that factors outside the school system are crucial to an understanding of inequality in Israeli education. (Author/MC) |
