Abstract	Fully annotated, this selected bibliography of materials on citizen participation in rural development is drawn from a large bibliography also published by the Southern Rural Development Center. Representing a severe distillation of extant materials on citizen participation, this bibliography of some 60 entries (most from the late 60's and 70's) is divided into subject matter areas. After a general section which includes materials which could not be classified unambiguously, there are sections on citizen participation in: techniques and technology, state government and state planning, general revenue sharing, community development block grant program, land use planning, planning, transportation planning, health care, urban renewal, poverty program and citizen participation of the poor, model cities, public lands issues, and water resources issues. The document also provides a brief guide for users, recommending specific documents for those primarily interested in research results on efficacy of citizen participation and effectiveness of techniques, techniques of citizen participation, and basic political issues in citizen involvement. There is also a page-long list of bibliographies relevant to citizen participation. (RS)
