| Abstract | This is the twelfth annual report of national normative data on characteristics of students entering college as first-time full-time freshmen. The freshman survey data reported here have been weighted for the purposes of policy analysis, manpower planning, administration, educational research, and guidance and counseling. The survey instrument is designed to elicit a wide range of biographic and demographic data as well as data on the student's high school background, career plans, educational aspirations, financial arrangement, high school activities, and current attitudes. All data are presented in tabular form, with an explanation of methodology. A brief list of references is included. (MSE) |
