Abstract | This report provides descriptive data on allocated time in reading and mathematics for grades two and five as reported by a sample of California teachers participating in the Beginning Teacher Evaluation Study (BTES). The time covered in this report is the intertest period from December 1976 (B) and April 1977 (C). The study forms an addendum to previously published Technical Note IV-2a, which reported allocated time from October through December 1976 (A-B). Class means are provided on the amount of time accumulated over the B-C period in specific content categories. Daily means and the mean percent of total time allocated to specific content areas are presented in the form of tables. Teacher estimates of task difficulty are included with the data. (JD) |
