Abstract	Performance objectives and criterion-referenced measures are outlined for seventy-five tasks identified as necessary to the successful performance of local vocational administrators in Kentucky. Tasks are organized under thirteen duty categories: program planning and implementation, staff recruitment, personnel development and management, scheduling staff, advisory committees, data collection and analysis, work place safety, occupational program follow-up, supervisory functions, complying with legislation, management of physical facilities and equipment, and public relations. An introductory section summarizes the activities of the research project in which the tasks were identified and the catalog compiled. Appendixes contain an annotated list of references from the state-of-the-art review conducted at the beginning of the project, and the task inventory used as a questionnaire for compiling the original competency list.
