Abstract | This annotated bibliography focuses on individualized education, learning characteristics, and learning motivation. The reference book is intended to help teachers and administrators identify resources needed to develop teaching strategies based on up-to-date learning research and development. More than 500 technical reports, theoretical papers, practical papers, and books are listed in the bibliography. Publications are presented in five sections. In section I, research on children's learning development, instructional strategies, and instructional improvement is reviewed. Section II deals with developmental processes in mathematics, reading skills, and computer-assisted instruction. In section III, technical research and development strategies for improving classroom instruction are discussed. Section IV, the major portion of the bibliography, deals with completed projects on cognitive processes, motivation, disadvantaged youth, media and concept learning, and individualized education. The final section reviews curriculum materials on mathematical processes, reading, and prereading skills. Also included in the document are an author index, a numerical listing, and information on obtaining documents from the center. (Author/DB) |
