Abstract	Proceedings of the Sixth Colloquium on Intra-Regional Technical Training sponsored jointly by the Colombo Plan and the Government of Malaysia are presented in this report. Four working papers are presented centered around three main areas of concern: influence of technical education on economic development; how the status of technicians could be improved; and identification of areas of research and innovation. Discussions by the thirty-nine delegates which followed each paper are included. Answers to questionnaires previously submitted to each delegation relative to technical educational development in their respective countries are also provided. (The individual countries are Bangladesh, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iran, Republic of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.) Speeches and addresses delivered during the inaugural session, statements by organizational and educational representatives and observers, and closing speeches are included. (BL)
