| Abstract | One of six documents describing the Management Information System for Vocational Education (MISVE), this document is intended for MISVE managers and electronic data processing (EDP) operations staff who would be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the MISVE on the computer. (MISVE was designed to provide users with an advanced management information system (MIS) capability that could effectively respond to current information needs of vocational education managers, to new and emerging data needs, as well as adapt to the unique operational requirements.) In four sections, this document (1) details computer hardware/operating system requirements for implementing and operating SYSTEM 2000 (the generalized data base management system used with MISVE), the programing and operations support, and the training required by EDP technical staff to implement and maintain the MISVE computer software; (2) provides a discussion of the relationships between the MISVE information and computer software subsystems; (3) provides a description of the computer processes that comprise the MISVE computer software support subsystem; and (4) provides the technical EDP staff with documentation required to understand the computer programs involved in the loading and maintenance of the MISVE data base.
