| Abstract | This document presents the Ohio Education Association's teacher evaluation policy and procedures. The first section sets forth the policy on teacher education and discusses the responsibilities of the profession as state or local level responsibilities. The second section points out limiting factors that often influence teacher evaluation. The third section suggests guidelines for local association action. The fourth section, an excerpt from THE LAW AND PRACTICE OF TEACHER NEGOTIATIONS by Wollet and Chanin, comments on teacher evaluation. The fifth section provides an example of the teacher evaluation procedure of the Columbus, Ohio, city schools. (MM) |
