Abstract | W. James Popham suggests that instructional development will die on college and university campuses due to the lack of sufficient commitment. In light of this, this article traces the development and implementation of an instructional development program in Nebraska that uses a consortium approach. Discussion revolves around the consortium, design of the program, selection of faculty for program inclusion, and faculty seminars. Popham's admonition is emphasized, and considerations are proposed to help insure the successful implementation of instructional development at colleges and universities. (Author) |
