Abstract	This paper discusses an undergraduate degree program in applied social sciences which is designed to prepare personnel for a broad range of entry-level human services functions in community agency settings. In a sense it is an undergraduate program in guidance and counseling and teaches skills which can be used to help people become more self-sufficient and contributors to society. The history of the development, structure of the curriculum, and descriptions of new courses are included. Career opportunities are reviewed and an outline of human services work settings related to the program are included in Appendix B. (Author)
