AbstractThe Columbia Classroom Environments Project (CCEP) report discusses a number of questions about a set of dimensions of learning and development as well as the instruments the project was developing for the analysis of behavior in learning environments. Joseph C. Grannis examines The Argument, Assumptions, Definitions, Hypothesis; Rochelle Mayer describes Behavior Observation Ratings in Settings (BORIS). Michael Greene and Fay Logan discuss Involvement Ratings in Settings (IRIS). The Autonomy, Heteronomy, and Objectivity of an Individual's Social Contacts: Dyck's Social Contact Code and CCEP's JURIS is the focus of an examination by Joseph C. Grannis and Daniel White. Joseph Grannis, David Jackson, and Sally Kaminsky describe Behavior Episode Structure in Settings (BESIS). Sally Kaminsky and Frances Aversa discuss Analysis of Teacher Behavior Stream Records. A Study of an Open Classroom from September to June, is reported by David Jackson. Joseph B. Roberts, with Nancy Gropper, Leonard Huber, and Carole Oligario examine The June 1971 Pilot Study to Test the Construct Validity of the Pupil Role Interview and Coder Reliability. The CCEP Teacher and Parent Surveys are the focus of an examination by Walter Furman. Peter Shaw summarizes the Analysis of Project Differentiation in Parent Interview Data. (Author/JM)
