| Abstract | This is one of eighteen sets of individualized mathematics problems developed by the Oregon Vo-Tech Math Project. Each of these problem packages is organized around a mathematical topic and contains problems related to diverse vocations. Solutions are provided for all problems. This volume contains problems involving ratio and proportion. Some problems involve implicit use of trigonometric relations (although the trigonometric functions are not named). Problems are drawn from nineteen vocational areas: forestry, forest products, wood products, food processing, marketing, auto mechanics, diesel mechanics, industrial mechanics, aviation mechanics, nursing, clerical work, wastewater technology, agriculture, fire and police science, industrial, electrical and hydraulics technology, electronics, machine tools, construction, and drafting.
