AbstractThis journal issue is devoted to review and analysis of 15 reports on the National Longitudinal Study of Mathematical Abilities (NLSMA). The reports reviewed concern achievement of students at various grade levels, nonintellective correlates of under- and overachievement, correlates of attitudes toward mathematics, teacher effectiveness, characteristics of successful insightful problem solvers, effects of different curricula, and a followup study. An annotated list of the 32 reports prepared for NLSMA is provided. Research related to mathematics education which was reported in RIE and CIJE between April and June 1975 is listed. (SD)
