Abstract | This project's six objectives were: simultaneously broadcasting in the States of Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and North and South Dakota; developing a program series on restorative dentistry; finding a library source to house and distribute the videotape material; establishing cooperative working relationships among the respective State dental schools; raising revenue; and selecting an advisory committee. In the first year of the project, rough estimates placed the television coverage of the 6,200 dentists in the five-State area at approximately 80%. The report also contains an evaluation of the project which concludes that, in general, the responding groups seem to have been favorably impressed by the three-part educational series, and that there appears to be no significant difference in the reactions of dentists in the metropolitan area of Minnesota and of those in the out-State areas. About half the document consists of miscellaneous information relating to the project: the contract application, the general objectives of the advisory committee, the program schedule, news releases and other publicity pieces, a program resume, a copy of the questionnaire card, and assorted letters.
