AbstractThe publication describes the process by which a portion of the Management Information System for Occupational Education (MISOE) Census Data System (CDS) was field-tested in a sample of six Massachusetts schools. It is intended to provide guidelines for those who will be responsible for the planning of statewide implementation of the fully developed Census Data System. Transcripts of the presentations and discussions among MISOE and school staffs at an introductory presentation, in a workshop, during an individual contact, and during a data collection experience comprise a large part of the document. The workshop transcript includes instructions for reporting information in the CDS terminal objectives (TERMOB) Fall reporting booklets. These instructions applied only to experimental reporting booklets used in the CDS Fall Report field test and are not necessarily in the sequence required by the final version of the Fall Report, as the intent of the document is to provide only a basis from which a full-scale plan for workshops may be modeled, not to provide a step-by-step process applicable to the Fall Report as developed. An outline of the field test plan and visual aids which were utilized in the field test are included in the document. (Author/AJ)
