Abstract	The Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley were chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York to facilitate and stimulate cooperative relationships among four distinctive institutions of higher education to enable them to improve their ability to achieve their chosen goals without a loss of their unique identities. To accommodate the organization of the consortium it was necessary to restructure the Board of Trustees. Meetings of administrators with comparable responsibilities are held throughout the year. Joint activities among admissions officers have been successful. Grants have been established that focus on continuing education, law enforcement education, and library facilities planning. Advances such as student registration at member colleges have been made in the construction of curriculum. Shared ticket sales, equalization of rates, cosponsored events, and block bookings have regularly been used in cultural affairs planning. Facilities managers meet to disucss potential areas of cooperation. Faculty has the opportunity to teach at other campuses. Exploration of the utilization of management information systems has been an interest of the consortium. An interinstitutional newspaper has been established.
