Abstract | This resource guide provides detailed information for Head Start programs and other organizations interested in planning and operating a home-based comprehensive child/family development program. Part I deals with topics such as: (1) assessing needs and interests, (2) goals, objectives, and resources, (3) administrative planning, (4) community participation, (5) recruiting and selecting home visitors, and (6) training. Part II outlines more specific recommendations important to effective program operations, involving community resources, home visits, and records and reports. While the guide was prepared for Head Start programs, much of the information offered is of value to others. (CS) |
