| Abstract | IEP (Information Exchange Procedures), developed by the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems, is a set of standard definitions and procedures for collecting institutional information related to: costs of disciplines and degree programs, outcomes of instructional programs, and general institutional characteristics. This prospectus describes IEP by answering the following questions: (1) What is IEP? (2) How was IEP developed? (3) What are the components of IEP? (4) How have institutions used IEP information? (5) How does NCHEMS support the implementation process, and what costs are incurred by an institution? (6) How does an institution become involved in the IEP implementation project?
