Abstract | The second yearbook of the Association for the Education of Teachers of Science (AETS) is composed of a series of position papers and reactions to these positions. The papers are divided into three sections. Section one includes five papers (and reactions) concerned with new directions for pre-service and in-service education of science teachers. Section two's material (two papers and reactions) is concerned with humanistic education. One of the papers contained in section three presents a lengthy description of a psycho-epistemological model for teaching science and its articulation with classroom activities. (PEB) |
