| Abstract | This document suggests to state postsecondary education agencies and other organizations concerned with postsecondary educational planning and management a possible state-level information structure that incorporates the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS) Program Classification Structure (PCS). It provides some specific suggestions concerning how such agencies might aggregate institutional data presented in PCS format for various purposes, and in this context it touches on the sensitive question of the level of details at which data are required for statwide planning and management efforts.
