| Abstract | A survey was carried out to determine the educational levels, objectives, programs, and areas of interest of women who desired to continue their education. Surveys were distributed to as many women as possible through women's organizations, government agencies, and gatherings of all kinds, and through mailings and responses to advertising and news releases. From the 1,285 surveys distributed in the service area of Mesabi Community College, 310 were returned. In addition to the survey, a committee investigated other area schools to ascertain what types of women's programs were offered. A literature survey was also conducted. The survey results indicated that: (1) many women are interested in returning to school; (2) most of the women have been out of school for more than eight years; and (3) the majority want to continue their education for personal satisfaction.
