Abstract	The book is designed to assist instructors of adults, particularly those who are part-time and beginning, in managing their educational programs effectively. It is written to be understood by instructors who may not have a background of training in education or who have a limited amount of time available to acquire teaching skills. The five chapters deal with: the nature of adult learning; those characteristics of the adult that influence his learning; the process of course planning; principles and techniques of instruction; and evaluation of adult learning. Quizzes before and after each chapter enable the reader to assess his personal weaknesses and evaluate his progress. Specific references are listed at the end of chapter and a general bibliography is provided for further study. (Author/AJ)
