| Abstract | The nation's principal state universities and land-grant colleges in this latest survey of tuition, room, and board charges seems to be committed to holding down student charges. This new survey shows the median charge for tuition and required fees for a state resident attending a major state university or land-grant college during the 1974-75 academic year will be $531, compared with a 1973-74 median of $517.50, representing a tuition increase of only 2.6 percent. This report contains an institution-by-institution breakdown as well as an analysis of the current costs and a look at the 10-year-trend in student charges at state and land-grant universities.
