Abstract | The short stories, poems, songs, and cultural descriptions about American Indians (volume 2 of two) are the result of a combined effort of the 7th grade students of Rice School District (Sacaton, Arizona), their teacher, and the parents and friends of the students of the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation (Arizona). The 24 student contributors prepared 21 articles about the Apache Indians. Most of the stories were told to the students in Apache and then translated into English. Brief student opinions about Apaches and Apache lore end the publication. (KM) |
