Abstract | Because each country and each instructional option provides a speical case requiring its own particular analysis, the purpose of this paper is not to provide a cost-effectiveness or cost-benefit analysis of new instructional media, but rather to provide improved information concerning costs of instructional television and radio so that the specific analyses which are performed will be improved. Major sections of the paper describe an improved method of cost analysis, prior cost experiences with the new media, and cost functions for instructional radio and television. Appendixes provide more detail on costs of printed material, computer managed instruction, and instruction technology, as well as supplementary table for El Salvador and the Ivory Coast. (RH) |
