Abstract	Presented in this pamphlet is an outline of the fiscal 1972 activities of the South Carolina Commission of Higher Education. The Commission's primary concern is the strengthening of all the state's institutions of higher learning, to the end that quality education and training beyond high school may be available to every citizen who desires it and can be expected to profit from it. Thus, the pamphlet deals with program approvals, enrollments, student financial assistance programs, student intern programs, in-service teacher education, off campus graduate education for teachers, higher education management information systems, state appropriations for colleges and universities, and space inventory and utilization standards. In addition, reports are presented from the computer advisory committee and the statewide nursing committee, and recommendations are made concerning medical education and 2-year postsecondary education.
