Abstract | A project was undertaken to carry out experimental and methodological investigations on learning phenomena and psychometric methods relevant to instructional technology and computer-assisted instruction. The project's accomplishments are presented in this report, along with a listing of reports and products produced. The work of the project is reported in terms of five areas of effort: 1) adaptation of instructional environments to the learning characteristics of the individual trainee; 2) computer testing, computer algorithms, and language for experimental instructional systems; 3) exploration of techniques for learner manipulation of subject matter; 4) the development of concepts and techniques for the analysis of subject-matter structures; and 5) annual conferences on developments in learning relevant to instruction and development.
