Abstract	The experiences of a headmaster of a primary junior school situated in the older part of a large city are described. The point is made that the children in this school, with but little conscious awareness of what was beautiful, had within them an ability to create true beauty within all the media of the arts. This booklet is divided into eight sections. Section I is the Introduction. Section II, Movement, discusses the teaching of movement to these children. Section III, Drama, covers costumes, speech, and other aspects of teaching the theater arts to children. Chapter IV, Art, discusses the teaching of pictorial art to children, mainly through the use of motivation techniques. Section V, Art and Composition, shows how to teach composition through the use of art. Section VI, Music and Arithmetic, discusses the approaches used in teaching both subjects. Section VII, The Arts and the Growing Child, puts forth certain theories about a child's creative activities. Section VIII, Teaching, makes the basic point that teachers in general should allow their teaching to be based on the immediate requirements of the class and not on a superimposed plan. (CK)
