Abstract	In order to meet the needs of the developing nations, a large number of panel sessions was organized to discuss the basic elements of computer technology that are of interest to developing nations. Some of the issues discussed are: (1) How does one get started with a small or with a large computer system? (2) Who are the individuals who can be turned to throughout the world for assistance in the topic of concern? (3) What experience exists in a particular area? (4) What priority should be given to the topic by the developing nations? (5) Can and should improvements be made in work being conducted by the developing nations? (6) Where can developing nations go to get additional experience? (7) How can developing nations obtain experienced and reliable individuals to help them? (8) What sources of information are important, and how do developing nations acquire these sources of information?
