Abstract | This series of instruments for evaluating the vocational education program of a secondary school is part of a larger package entitled "Evaluative Criteria" covering 18 subject areas. Vocational education subject areas include programs in (1) agriculture, (2) business education, (3) distributive education, (4) driver and traffic safety, (5) health education, (6) home economics, (7) industrial arts, and (8) trade, technical, and industrial education. An instrument for philosophy and objectives is also available. Using a checklist and question format, the various program-area instruments deal with the philosophy and objectives, organization of the program, the curriculum, the physical facilities, the instructional program, special characteristics of the program, and general evaluation of the program. Both teachers and administrators should find these instruments of value for evaluating their programs. (JS) |
