Abstract	This is a report of the 1967 conference at St. Catherine's College, Oxford, of Canadian, English, Welsh, and American members of the educational profession. Setting and context of the meeting are described in Chapter 1, noting inter-processional and international tensions. John I. Goodlad's address, which charted the past two decades of curriculum thinking in the United States with guidelines for the future, is then analyzed. Summaries of two papers are also included: 1) Strategies of Curriculum Innovation, and 2) Methods of Communication and Implementation. Contributions in the session on evaluation are sketched, and Dr. W. G. Carr's paper outlining proposals for the establishment of an International Centre for the Study of Instruction is discussed. The final chapter is made up of a series of extracts from seminar reports on these topics: 1) English; 2) Modern Foreign Language; 3) Humanities and Social Studies; 4) Applied Science and Technology; 5) Mathematics; 6) Natural Science; 7) Expressive and reative Arts; 8) Rational Planning in the Curriculum; 9) Organizing the School and Its Resources; and, 10) Compensatory Education. The content and structure of each seminar is reported as well as definitions, conclusions, and recommendations. Appended to the international conference report are names of conference members, staff, observers, seminar groups, and listing of Schools Council Publications. (Author/JSB)
