Abstract | This catalog is intended primarily for the use of training officers in need of prescribing basic learning programs for use by educationally disadvantaged employees, such as high school dropouts, returning veterans lacking specific academic skills, and virtually anyone with limited educational skills. In addition to academic skills, the catalog also includes skills that will enable trainees to acquire the behavior necessary to succeed and advance in the working environment. It also lists programs offering insight into everyday problems faced by the consumer or buyer. The core areas of Reading, Language Arts, and Mathematics are included, as are World of Work and Consumer Education programs. (Author/DB) |
