Abstract	Four American Cooperative Schools in Bolivia are surveyed in this document in connection with a project to provide inservice development in the form of graduate courses, workshops, and consultantships. The four schools were 1) the American Cooperative School in La Paz, serving children of all nationalities from prekindergarten through grade 12 with an enrollment of 477 in May 1970; 2) Cochabamba Cooperative School, for children of American citizens and other children whose parents wish them to have an American education, with a K-12 program and an enrollment of 119; 3) Santa Cruz Cooperative School, for children of the U. S., Bolivia, and other countries, with a K-9 program and an enrollment of 119; and 4) the Anglo-American School in Oruro, with an essentially Bolivian program and an enrollment of over 700. The report of each school considers the student population, staff, curriculum, financing, and buildings and makes comments and recommendations. A final chapter considers what should be the policy toward these schools in the future, the role which they should play in presenting an image of American education and Philosophy, and their place in the overall foreign policy of the United States.
