Abstract	Herein is a special report on issues in German education that is chiefly concerned with educational innovations and practices in the various states of the Federal Republic. The report contains an interview with an official of the Ministry of Education, an article, notices, and announcements. The issues covered are 1) the restructuring of German education, 2) funding of education, 3) teacher personnel policies, 4) new curriculum, 5) integration of all levels of education, 6) degree requirements, and 7) adult and professional education. Several models of university structure are presented as part of the current debate on reform higher education.
