| Abstract | This book contains a synthesis of discussions which took place during the meeting of the UNESCO Institute for Education held in October, 1967 in Hamburg, Germany. The Institute undertook the task of examining various forms of disadvantage deprivation in the various regions of the world, and methods used for remediation of these effects. The aim of the meeting was to compile a list of projects already being carried out in this field as a basis for future work. The Institute dealt mainly with industrialized areas, but also studied cases in developing countries for comparative purposes. (Author/DM) |
