Abstract | The Arizona Commission of Indian Affairs, in its annual report for 1969-70, lists the tribes and their populations, the commission's membership, and legislative advisory committees and consultants. Projects completed in 1969-70 included the printing and distribution of the 1970 tribal directory, taking and releasing the photos of all tribal chairman to the news media, and compiling the bi-annual Indian legislative digest. The goals and objectives of the commission are included in the report in terms of economics, education, manpower, health, safety and justice, natural resources, general government, and transportation. The Appendix contains reports from cooperating state and Federal organizations and is divided into 5 general areas: economics, education, employment, health, and welfare. (LS) |
