Abstract | The report describes the activities which comprised the design, implementation and evaluation of a Micro-Image System for occupational information, which is one component of a comprehensive career guidance program. The location of the film equipment in the Frederick Douglass Junior High in Rochester, New York is discussed in terms of the amount of use it received by students. A data gathering phase, during which students using the equipment filled out a questionnaire, is elaborated in detail and the results presented. The rationale underlying the Rochester Career Guidance Project's development of the Micro-Image File is explained and actual steps in the development are enumerated. Appendices include: (1) further theoretical and practical career guidance considerations, (2) a description of a Career Guidance Laboratory where students participate in simulated work situations, and (3) actual career guidance materials focused on the work of X-ray technologists.
