Abstract | A description of the Follow Through program at Oraibi, Arizona, was prepared for the White House Conference on Children (December 1970), as were papers on 33 other selected model programs. In the Follow Through program, approximately 400 Hopi children (grades 1 to 3) are building proficiency in reading, mathematics, and handwriting via the Kansas model which utilizes the behavior analysis approach to learning. An explanation of the teacher, teacher-aide, and parent-aide role and function is included in the document. Sources of further information on this and similar programs are also provided. (LS) |
