Abstract	The feasibility of the proposed program for preparing local school instruction coordinators was related to the following criteria, all of which were defined in quantitative terms: (1) Instructional leadership is deficient or needed, (2) Schools are willing to employ instructional coordinators with a primary responsibility for providing instructional leadership, (3) There appears to be sufficient potential population for recruitment to the training program, and (4) Schools are willing to cooperate in fieldwork programs. Sixty-six vocational directors were surveyed. Replies were received from 86 percent of the educational institutions including 54 area vocational-technical schools and three comprehensive high schools. By and large, all criteria except the one relating to employability of graduates were satisfied. It was therefore recommended that the initiation of the program be delayed 1 year pending clarification of employability status and investigation of the possibility of recruiting into the program persons already employed as instructional specialists. In the interim, efforts were to be expended on program development. The initial chapter presents a program prospectus. (JK)
